Israel’s Interference in the U.S. Criminal Justice System
Hosted by Coalition for Civil Freedoms
FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2020

The Coalition for Civil Freedoms is a not-for profit organization and is a coalition of national and local organizations as well as prominent individuals, whose mission is to educate the public about the erosion of civil and political freedoms in the society, and the abuses of prisoners within the U.S. criminal justice system especially after 9/11.

While many are familiar with Israel and its lobby’s influence on the American political establishment, a lesser known area of influence it enjoys is in U.S. courtrooms. This webinar will trace the targeting of Palestinian American activists and community members from 1988 with the LA 8 case to the post-9/11 Al-Arian, Al-Ashqar, and the Holy Land Five cases, among others. Join Miko Peled and Dr. Sami Al-Arian in conversation with special guest moderator Nora Barrows-Friedman on Israel’s destructive interference in the American justice system.
