  1. I appreciate Miko’s book, Injustice. Any human being would be outraged at the harsh punishment of men for providing food, clothing, and school supplies to needy children. But what upset me most as a lawyer in the few hours I observed of the trial was the total disregard of the law and ordinary fairness by the kangaroo court. Imagine a US judge allowing prosecution testimony by anonymous “witnesses,” a complete denial of the right to confront accusers that the 6th Amendment to the constitution would guarantee in a free country where the government respected the law.
